Offset problem?

Post by rickbw »

I'm having a problem with what I believe is offset. I open a DXF file to be able to Vcarve within a circle, and then profile out the circle. The board I have is 7" x 7". When I open the dxf file, the size of the job is 275 x 275. So I change the material size to 7 x 7 and I move the dxf vectors into the 7 x 7 box. However after saving the toolpaths and then going to cut the job on my Shopbot Desktop, the spindle takes off way to the far outer left corner. So I'm assuming the software is telling the shopbot the material is way out in right field.............

How do I get the job back to where it is supposed to be? I've pasted a picture that I hope explains the issue.

Thx,

Rick

Open the Job Size and Position dialog and check the XY Datum position section. I expect the XY offset is checked with values in it. Uncheck it and move the vectors and then should sort it.
