Xxray how would you do this?

I liked the way you did the bulldog plaque.
How would you do this one?
I have never tried your method before.

I have done try color painted signs before, like this one a couple years back.
That one would be tough, I would for sure backpaint whatever the majority color is, which appears to be blue. I would mask off anything that needs yellow then paint the grey, take off the mask and paint yellow, then all back to blue.
Would probably also edit out the wispy smoke effect, that would be difficult to replicate .

I don't exactly remember how I did this one, might have done the black by hand with a paint pen to avoid a complex mask, you could do the same with the yellow.

If it had to be exactly like the picture then I would probably reverse print the whole thing on to clear vinyl. apply to acrylic panel & then apply white vinyl over the top of the print. Light it the same way you would any edge lit sign.
If it doesn't have to be exactly the same as the picture then something along the lines of what Xxray has said. I would probably go for a combination using both the back & the front of the acrylic panel, exclude the wispy smoke/flame effect & etch the rest of the white.

Unfortunately the wispy flames are essential as the cry was: "Burn them Cowboys"
Thank you for the suggestions, I will work on it.

Might have better luck with a litho which would have no problem picking up the subtle variety of shading - Could probably even tint the right areas blue and yellow, once back lit it would be stunning.
