Ted,

This will help alot, I have been looking at the wedgie for a long long time and am glad you came up with this. My only question is the job setup, you show 1" thickness, I am assuming this is hardwood?? Please eloborate. I have completed a large number of segmented bowls, vases, etc and would have loved to have had this. Next I need the SegEasy Plates for open segmented items. BTW, if you want you can view some of my turnings here: http://www.joebarrow.com

Joe.

Joe, I am not sure where I showed 1" thickness anywhere?????

The fences on the jig are made from scrap maple.

Ted,

You vectric file shows 1" thickness, I was thinking 3/4 plywood for the sled then maple for the wedgies?

Hmmm, I still have not found where I posted a vectric file showing 1 inch thickness? But, it does not matter, was just curious where that was coming from.

My sled is good old 3/4 plywood, works great. The only part you need to pay attention to is the slots so that you can use a carriage bolt from underneath and it will not spin.

I did a seqmented ring for a clock frame earlier this week. That thing is downright handy. I had not used it in months and months but right off the bat the clock frame came out perfect. Gotta love jigs like that!

UGH, I must have done something wrong cause it is coming up a .75 now.... I currently use the Incra sled but really want to try the wedgie... Thanks again for the file, will update when I attempt it but won't be until later this fall...
