Easy way to find open Vectors part 2

Post by bbiehl »

If you are deleting nodes (e.g. After a ”Trace Bitmap”) you can delete nodes of a closed set of vectors two ways; the first way is to select the vectors and hit the “Delete” key which will delete the entire set of vectors; The second way is to area select the nodes of the closed set of vectors and hit the shortcut “D” key. Now there will still be one node left; the green node. You cannot delete this node and it becomes invisible. When you go to “Calculate” you will get the “Open Nodes” message. You have the option of ignoring the open node, but you will continue to get this message every time you “Calculate”, even after saving and starting again.
To find and delete this node;
1. Area select the entire layout.
2. Select the “Offset Selected Vectors” menu.
3. The single node(s) will be highlighted in black
4. Area select only this node (while in the “Offset Selected Vectors” menu) and hit the “Delete” key. Walla it’s gone.
