Hi jason okay I am glad your cops in the states dont pull you over in the states. Look on your map see thunder bay follow the road east go to saue steint marie that is 10 hour drive at 100 to 120 km whitch is around 70 miles per hour . I know I was a truck driver I have drove that route and I know a truck traveling 115 it will take nearly a full working day to drive that distance . then it is another 3 hours to sudbury. That is canadian rds. Maybe you can time travel in the states but here in canada we havent figured it out.... Just joking but the map I find is further than it looks some times. If you do go by canada I live half way between the sue and sudbury if you want to stop for a coffee your welcome.

Brief Update.

A rep from Weicon and another from Knell's Hardware have offered to attend our meeting, and show us some products that may be of interest. One product in particular is the MS1000 casting resin, which can be used to coat many products, including foam. I ran a test of one of their adhesives on hdu foam, and it worked quite well.

I would be interested in attending. I'm up in North-Eastern ON (about 800 km North of Toronto) but it's only a 1 1/2 hour flight to Toronto, and another hour drive to Guelph - I know the area well as I went to both University & College in that area.

All depends upon what my work load is, vs the timing - and my wife's work schedule as well. Try and make a weekend trip out of it if possible, we have a lot of friends still living in the Guelph area. She can visit and I can attend the meeting.

That's along way to come for our little meeting. I don't want you to get the wrong impression here. This meeting is no way near the level of expertise that Roger and Jamie have. Our's is an informal get together, to exchange ideas and hopefully take some knowledge back home.

John, if it's me you're referring to in the last post, any "expertise" I have sure ain't in Aspire. If it wasn't for Glen Peterson, Tim Merrill & Michael Mezalick poking me with sharp sticks I'd still be pulling out the chisels & the jigsaw for everything...... Jemima would be a 740lb ornament.

Just wondering (I am assuming no date set yet?)

The Canadian WMS (woodworking machinery show) is again this fall in Toronto, back at the International Center...Oct 24-26. Perhaps having the get together that weekend might work as well? I for one attend this show and will be down in SOuthern ON already.

I've been swamped here for the last few weeks, so I didn't have allot of time to devote to the meeting.

I think we will be shooting for the end of june sometime. for those of you who have visited my shop, it's not all that big, and I'd like to be able to have the doors open, so we can have a little more room.

I'm hoping to be able to devote more time to this next week.

Hello every one, i read a lot about meetings and such ,but all those post are from a few years back,Are there any members in the niagara ontario area ? Iam from St Catharines and new to the hobby,i would love to talk to some of the members here in southern ontario,and once i get more familiar with my machine and the cnc hobby ,then i'am most interested in meetings a bit further from home .
