Aspire V3.5 Released!

Post by BrianM »

We are delighted to announce the release of Aspire V3.5.

This is a free upgrade for all existing owners of Aspire 3.0. To see what is new in version 3.5 please visit the What’s New page here http://www.vectric.com/WebSite/Vectric/ ... videos.htm

The update is being distributed as a ‘patch’ program which will update your existing V3.0 install to V3.5. After the patch has successfully run, clicking on your existing Aspire link will start Aspire 3.5 instead of 3.0.

Please note that the patch program will only update English language versions of Aspire. If you are using a non-English version, please email updates@vectric.com with your licence details and the language you are using so that we can inform you when an updated version of Aspire is available in your language.

The procedure for getting the patch will depend on whether you have your Aspire computer connected to the internet or not.

Aspire Computer Connected to the Internet

If you do 'Help - Check for Updates' as shown in the screen shot below you should be told there is a later version available.

The attached PDF file (UpdatingAspire.pdf) shows the steps in more detail.

Aspire Computer NOT Connected to the Internet

You will need to download the patch from our web site, copy it to your Aspire computer and run it.

If you go here ...

http://www.vectric.com/WebSite/Vectric/ ... pdates.htm

All the latest patches for download are available via this page -
"Training & Support - Program Updates" from the Vectric web-site.

Thank you for purchasing Aspire.

I just watched the slice model video and that feature alone is to me worth the price of the software. I need to dust off the nextengine scanner and get busy . Santa came early this year and I was sweating how to pay for the upgrade and you folks made me a present. Thanks again Dan

FYI:
The text links on the what's new page all seem to link to component-manipulation-web.html where the download buttons are linked to proper tutorial.

THUMBNAILS

Post by COWBOY1296 »

I am operating on windows xp. Download appears to have gone well. Even though not prompted to i rebooted. Everything appears to be fine but i can not view the thumbnails. When i click on the thumbnail command it just shows the aspire logo instead of the 3d image.

The thumbnails will only appear for files saved in Aspire 3.5. Any exisiting ones you have will just show the Aspire logo until they've been saved from Aspire 3.5

For all,

In addition to the What's New videos, there is a What's New PDF manual. You can find it under Help>What's New.

Sometimes it helps to both watch and read.
