Hi,
I have been trying to design this part with aspire and can't figure out what I am doing wrong.
I usually cut these on a bandsaw, but Ithink it would be more accurate on a cnc
I attached the aspire file and a picture of what it looks like finished,

Here are a few thing I found.
The vector is not connected on the right side. and the left vertical is not straight.
A simple Profile toolpath would do it.
But it's almost 11" thick.
I guessing you have a bit that long and the space under your gantry?
Cutting one side is easy but flipping it and keeping it level will take some sort of jig.
The other option is to slice it and glue it together.
Here's my version of the shape.

They are very difficult to index in 3d space. You have to be able to roll them 90 degrees 4 times and get back to the exact same place or any miss will show at the corners
you can see the plates i put on the end and then used 3/4" square key stock to hold the piece over the "cellar hole" that I cut in my table.
The 3d must be made as a profile cut and re imported into aspire as an STL. Then you can do them as a simple 3d with a 1/4 ball mill and a 1/8 to clean up the detailed parts. Look for some Corbel instructions from about 2+ years ago written by Viktor

Do you have an indexer on your machine? If so, then the depth of cut is only 5.5", and flipping it for each side is not difficult.
It also doesn't have to be done with a profile cut, nor does it have to be exported to STL. It can be made with a single 2-rail sweep, 1/2 the thickness of the part - just cut the 3d model on each face, the outline will appear automagically, and the corners will automatically align. If you want to limit the amount of air cutting, create an outline of the profile and use it for the 3d detail path, with an offset so that the cutter goes a little beyond the edge of the profile - you will be left with a sort of "cage" of uncut material that will need to be manually cut off.
