Dragging the select tool doesn't behave the same from right to left VS left to right... CRTL-G to group, CTRL-U to ungroup. Grouped are solid, ungroup are dashed...

What's your problem?

Hi Coop,

Are you trying to select Text that's been created in VCarve Pro?

If this is the case the letters are already grouped together as a Text object.
Clicking on one of the letters will select the complete block of text and this
can then be Profile machined.

If you are not working with Text,

Hold the Shift key down and click the Left mouse on each vector to select.
The selected vectors will be drawn as dotted lines.
Press Ctrl +G to group the selection into a single object that can then easily be selected.

Let us know if this has missed the point?

Tony

so i tried to hold the ctrl+g while selecting vectors but as one was clicked on
the other became unselected.
i guess that command does not work as a "multiple select" command would.
i would simply like to select several vectors that cannot be selected any other way
thanks

Wrong key selection

Hold Shift key down and Click Left on vectors to add them to the selection - all shown as dotted lines

Then, release the Shift key and Press Ctrl +G to group the selected objects together.

Alternatively, use the Group / Ungroup icon on the Edit Vectors menu - 3rd icon along

I hope this helps,

Tony
