Zenbot Problem
Hi,
after almost 5 MONTH waiting finally got my zenbot, so far i have it siting on my shop and can not find any help from Shaun, I hope he return one of My so many emails or phone calls, so I hope i can get any help from professional at this place as usual,
i created simple files at vcarve pro, simple circle but after importing to Mach3 it is NOT on the center of the table.
Homing and limits image looks correct and it is attached.
but as you can see the circle is NOT on center.
Thank you for your help

Re: Zenbot Problem
Did you set the X & Y zero location on your machine to the center of your table?

Re: Zenbot Problem
What size did you set the Job Size to in VCarve Job Setup?

OK.
Home the machine and look at the X&Y DRO, make sure the Machine Coordinate button on Mach3 doesn't have a red border, if so click once to turn the Machine Coordinate display off. Look at the X&Y DRO if they are not displaying 0 then click on X & Y button to the right of the DRO and they will be set to 0.

Re: Zenbot Problem
What I see in you picture is you have the Machine Coordinates showing and everything is set to "0"
Click on the Machine Coordinates button to turn off the Machine Coordinates (red box will disappear) and look at the X & Y DRO values and set them to "0"

Ok your help is pricelesss
I homed it and clicked on zeros and now the circle in middle
with this machine there is NO pens at edge of the table how i possession the material, for example if I have a door 15X30 and wanted to carve on center how i find the center.
My big cnc i have 1 Pen at X and 2 at Y!!

Re: Zenbot Problem
Do you have a spoilboard on your table top? If so you could create a job and drill the pin holes yourself.
Also you don't have to always place your material at Machine Coordinate x0y0 that's what the Offset coordinates (the ones you just set to zero) are for.
Your VCP Job Size doesn't always have to be 48x48 that's why there are Offset Coordinates. Watch this video, it should help..

Re: Zenbot Problem
Thank you very much
now i have good understanding for the offset, this machine came with expandable PVC table material which has grooves for Vacuum gasket (4 x 4) and with two holes for vacuum
1- vacuum is NOT strong enough to go through a spoil board, i did not ask and assumed it will works like my other big machine and will have enough power to grab materials, and since i will cut part ( through cut) i might be damaging the PVC table material so i guess i have to make waist board with t-nuts holes.
2- still one question regarding a very common scenario i would like an answer please: let us say i have a cabinet door 15X33 and want to carve shape on the middle of the door, HOW i can get location of the door at the right place, even if using G55 offset. for examtple if I tell Mach3 the distance is 15Y 15X how i garntee the correct physical location on the table.
3-you mentioned drill holes for dowels, and let us say i Did, so it has to be removable because some time i want to run a parameter tool, also keep removing and inserting will make it so loos.
i just want to grantee the perfect alignment for parts with the Y and X so door will be carved on middle.
if you have any ideas that will be great.
Thank you.
