Ghosted geometry

Post by JimEE »

I drew some plans that had some circles on it and some how one got put in the middle of my plans. It's got a cross in the middle of it and I can't highlight it to delete it. The other circles on the project highlight and group just fine. When I try to do a tool path the only circle the program sees is the one I can't delete. How do I delete that one circle?

Hi Jim,

There are a number of possibilities. Please post your Vectric project file so we can take a first-hand look at it. I’m sure there is a very simple solution and providing your file will save you (and us) some time and guesswork. Thanks!

It may be possible that the circle is on another layer. Toolpath was created for the circle on that layer and that particular layer is now Locked!!!

1st guess

Is this what you're seeing?

If so the circle with a cross is the preview of a drill toolpath. Uncheck the box next to the drill toolpath and it will go away. If that's not it please attach the file as Michael says as I can't think what else it could be without more detail.

I would bet a dollar to a doughnut, That Adrian is right.
It sure looks like a toolpath for a drill hole to me. That
is why when you try to delete you can't uncheck in your
toolpaths tab.

I saw a post on here somewhere and I tried that and it worked just fine. I put everything on a separate layer except the offending circle then deleted the layer with the offending circle, no more problem.
