Two sided Nesting in V10 -> Alignment Hole Locations

Post by wb9tpg »

How to I place the alignment holes into consistent locations on each sheet so I only need to drill one set of holes in my spoil board? The parts being nested are messing with me and going where the holes should be :D

Once you nested the parts, you can move any one manually to a different location. Once the move on the top side, draw a rectangle around the part, then copy to other side. Under the Align Objects, use the "center object to last selected object" to move the object on the back side to inside the rectangle, which will coincide with the top part.

I know most people use dowels to align the material when flipping over. In my case, I always use a jig. See my post: http://forum.vectric.com/viewtopic.php? ... ig#p230477 I think it's easier and definitely faster. I've now have done many dozen two-sided projects with NO PROBLEMS.
