Adjusting tool path

Post by skieva »

I watched a video awhile back that described how to adjust the tool path. For instance, if a cut is running inside a vector and needs to cut a few thousandths wider, the user is able to define how far across the vector to move the cut.. This video was seen on the website, 'SpindleTV'. Did I understand this correctly??

I assume you mean the Toolpath Offset? Just enter the amount you need to cut from the line - positive numbers or negative numbers.

Your software manual has more details if you need them.

There is a checkbox in the Machine Vectors section of the profile toolpath for machine allowance. It works for "Inside" or "Outside" but not "On" for obvious reasons. It will accept negative numbers also.
