I have now seen that there already was calculated two toolpats for this file, but the final result when I previewed this toolpats went out like this:
The final picture didn´t show as a rotating job, but as it was a single side job.-

You use the same two lines for both toolpaths. With the Moulding toolpath open, click on the center line first, then shift click the arc line. That'll create one half on your wood blank like your image shows. Do the same thing for the second Moulding toolpath except right click on the center line to then reverse its direction. That'll make the other half on your wood blank. If you've set it up as a rotary toolpath Vcarve should then show it renderer like it'll cut.

The last picture is from the two toolpats when I opened the file you atached without changig anything in the settings. I tried to calculate 2 new toolpats in the way you described, but with the same result.

As I am very familiar with the moulding toolpath I take shortcuts. I apologize. With only one guide line, and using it for both toolpath, reversing it for the second toolpath flips its end point. The result is that if you recalculate without double checking that the second is again reversed from the first then you'll end up with two identical (not mirrored) toopaths.
The hard part of putting two vectors in the same place is that often VCarve assumes you want them joined possibly messing up the results or causing an overlap error. It also makes picking just one for the first toolpath and the other for the second very challenging.
For your sake I've tried making two vectors, and it appears to have revealed a bug in the rotary rendering feature of Aspire/VCarve. For the moment at least I can't even get Aspire to render the rotary view properly. I even started from scratch with a new file and get the same flawed results. Anyone at Vectric care to look at my file? If so I'll send it to you.

Are you sure you have the rail going in the correct direction ?
To me it looks like the rail is going in the Y direction, when it should be going in the X.

You'll need to click on the "Wrapping in 3D View" icon.

The flat view looks correct. It is when I turn on the 3D view of a rotary job that I get the flawed render as above. I've even switch axes and tried again but still get a flawed 3D render.

You need to rotate your drive rails 90 degrees. At the moment the toolpath is not oriented correctly with regards to the rotation axis.4DThinker wrote:The flat view looks correct.
