Vcarve pro up dates

Post by cusoak »

Is this version of vcarve pro the latest 9.517.
And is there a time frame on upgrades that they are no longer free.
Just wondering.

Hi Jeff,

The “point versions” are free updates - 9.0 to 9.5xx for example.

The “main digit” upgrades are not free - 8.0xxx to 9.0xxx to 10.0xxx for example.

There are no exact time frames, but “main digit” new versions typically are released in autumn.

Also if you were to buy VCarve and then another major version (10 for example) was released within 12 months of you buying it then you would get the new version as a free upgrade. Obviously you don't get the next one for free as well if that comes out within 12 months, it's from the initial purchase.

Vectric has said that they'll be discussing "what's new" in V10 at the User Group Meeting in October.

Vectric's pricing has been pretty consistent over the years, so I wouldn't expect it to change much from what it is currently.
