Hi
I have a very complex design that creates the toolpath for Vcarve when at 12 inches square in size - when I scale the design up to 14 or 14.8 inches - and try to create new toolpath the green progress bar across the bottom continues to cycle back and forth without finishing?
A I doing something wrong - do I need to change a setting?
cheers
Russell

Overlapping vectors
Dear Russell
When it has happened to me it turned out to be overlapping, duplicate and/or open vectors.
You can get the programme to check for duplicate or open vectors. Overlapping vectors is more tricky you need to select a vector then when highlighted look carefully for overlaps that will have occurred as you changed the scale.
Sincerely and in good faith
Martin

Re: program limits
Typically that means you have some defective vectors (open, crossovers, zero length, loops, whatever).
You may have “gotten lucky” if Toolpaths were created alright at the smaller size (defects may have been ignored because they were too tiny).
I would rn the Vector Validator on the enlarged version to see if any defects are found. Make corrections, if necessary. Then, I would use the selection feature to select Open Vectors to see if anything else is in need of correction (closing any vectors).
