joining an Arc

Post by SteveL »

Hello brand new Vcarve user here. I'm trying to join a arc to some other lines so I can tool path but I'm obviously not doing something right. I can't figure out how to close the vectors. Basically I'm trying to draw a shelf bracket that has a arc on the underside. The shape I can get using polylines and arc but I cant join the two. What am I missing? Thanks

It would help if you could post a copy of your file.

Many of the questions like this ask about joining the end of one vector to the middle of another. Can't be done. The resulting vector must either have 2 ends (open) or zero ends (closed). A T shape is not allowed. Which way should the cutter go when it reaches the joint?

Thanks high pockets, I hadn't discovered those. That's what I was looking for.
