Re: Text Problem
I did a V-Carve/Engraving run on this file after I added a vector box around the text. I used a 90 vbit with .03" tip and .25 em for the cutout. The preview shows the results. It is a long run for all cuts at almost 6 hours. I did make a 90 degree cut on the outside vector box

Re: Text Problem
I generally prefer a full depth VCarve look Martin, and when I do raised font, I have that 60*with a .025"flat. Mostly doing one-ofs now thank goodness, and you Know I don't mind a little extra time if it needs it.....01" flats will do for now with My size projects.
Next engravings bought will be 1/4" Onsruds with .01" flats in a 45* and a 60, as I don't have them yet:) Eventually maybe some .02" will be added:)
Thanks!
NICE one Dan!!
THAT is definitely on that I would take right to finish Grit and a coat of finish, BEFORE I carved it
6.5 hours......What was overall size?
Did it stay flat for you the whole time, and did bit jump around enough to leave any toolmarks?
Got a finished pic?
GREAT sentiment!!
