Hi, I'm new to CNC and to this forum -
We are routing kitchen sides and components from 18mm MFC
We have tried a Trend Rotatip which was ok for a few passes
Now have a 10mm Compression from Wealden which is better, but looking for advice -
Spindle speed? Feed speed? Climb or Conventional?
We were going in 10mm and then 8.1mm and ramping in, but always get burn on the ramp in - any advice there?
Should we do the cut and then have an offset so it takes a 1mm off final cut?
CNC is 4.5kw - max speed 24,000 and feed rate 8000mm/min
Any advice/guidelines would be much appreciated
David

Re: MFC cutting
8m/min @ 12,000-14,000 rpm. Ramp in at full speed.

Increase the plunge rate for the tool bit
Either in the tool database or using the edit option for the selected bit on the main toolpath form
