That VCarve file is a program to cut a 38 mm pocket 3mm deep with a 6mm cutter

What is it doing that is not supposed to do.

I would expect to see a hole 38mm in diameter - but you stopped it at 35mm?? You did in fact ask it to cut to 38mm.

What do you WANT it to do?

I'm getting really confused now with all the different measurements between the two threads. First it was a 22mm hole that you stopped at 49mm. Then it was the circles were 20mm too big and now it's a 38mm circle you're cutting but you're saying it gets to 35mm which is too big!

I must be missing something...

If you are attempting to cut circles, why would you create them in Fusion, and then import to VCP to create the tool path?

If it is cutting fine with the Fusion file, why not just use it?

Or better yet, why not create the circles in VCP, and generate the tool path using VCP. A one-stop shop.
There's no reason to complicate a circle.

Hi, know I am ok. I am waiting for some mdf to turn up, as messing up alumium sheets with these circles is costing to much.

When we remodeled our kitchen I saved all the flat wood and MDF I could. Had one heck of a pile but it comes in handy for practice cuts. I tried a project today using some new ideas and a hunk of MDF worked fine. Next time your near a construction site, do a little dumpster diving!!
