Post Processer

Post by REDNECK70 »

I'm a CNC newbee, I'm trying to find out which post processer to use on Mach 4 with no tool changer and in inches?

Thank you, Bill!
Thanks Bill!

I'd start with the Mach2/3 Arcs (inch) (*.txt) post processor

I have a 4 x 6 2 axis laser engraver that was built for the monument industry by Cochran's. I'm in the process of restoring the machine. The original PC that came with the machine is not there for me to know the programs required to run.
Does anyone know a post processor that will work with this machine?
Can I use VCarve for drawing and toolpathing?

I would contact these people, since I think they are the original manufacturer: http://www.apdevices.com/?product=etching-laser
On their download page they have drivers for the machine, but I didn't see a manual. They might be able to hook you up with instructions.
As to whether VCarve would work, I don't know. I think there may be a PP for HPGL which is what I think the machine is set up for?
