Sources for V-Carving Vectors
Hello everyone,
I am looking for sources of vector clipart for v-carving. It seems there are many sources of 3D models...but where is all the vector clipart for v-carving? So many of the vector art options seem to be optimized for laser cutting, etc.
This is the type of artwork I'm envisioning: https://www.vectorclip3d.com/index.php/v-carving
Right now I have a client wanting a deer/stream/cabin scene. I've found some deer heads, and some deer silhouettes... nothing in a scene type format except for 3D models.
Has anyone complied a list of websites that offer vector artwork that is suitable for v-carving?
Appreciate your suggestions!
Gerald Martin

Use your favorite search engine to look for:
Vector Art Mega Collection
There are three volumes. Search for a good price.

Try https://artdesignsstudio.com/
I used a lot of their stuff back when they were carvingpatterns.com. They're mainly in bitmap form but they're very clean drawings which automatically trace perfectly in VCarve.

There are some free vectors for nature scenes on http://3axis.co/
They are mostly for plasma cutting but might be close to what you are looking for.

I seems to me that you've already found such a source: e.g. https://www.vectorclip3d.com/index.php/ ... nts-floralGerald Martin wrote:This is the type of artwork I'm envisioning: https://www.vectorclip3d.com/index.php/v-carving

He's looking for deer scenes though and they don't have any there which is why I suggested the site I did.adze_cnc wrote:I seems to me that you've already found such a source: e.g. https://www.vectorclip3d.com/index.php/ ... nts-floralGerald Martin wrote:This is the type of artwork I'm envisioning: https://www.vectorclip3d.com/index.php/v-carving

Re: Sources for V-Carving Vectors
Very helpful responses! There are several leads here I will pursue.
It seems there would be a real niche for an artist to learn what makes v-carving work look great and vectors that would tool path efficiently, and offer clean vector clip art for sale.
Adding more sources to this thread helps all of us.

Re: Sources for V-Carving Vectors
That's basically what VectorArt does with most of their designs. It's a niche of a niche though. Most vector drawings will v-carve fine with very little work needed. There is an enormous source of vector files around even more so with the take up of the SVG format.

Re: Sources for V-Carving Vectors
Gerald there are companies that already do that as Adrian says but the problem is that everyone wants something different so finding what you actually want can be a problem, some of these companies offer a bespoke service but prices can be high, some signmakers I know in the UK use a company overseas (India I believe) because they are much cheaper but not sure of the details personally as it's not a service I have used.
