Another Newbie w/VCarve at Christmas

Post by JBJeppson »

Having just received my early Christmas present to myself (CNC Piranha) I am trying to produce another gift for someone. I have been steeped in a learning curve and likely overlooked a very basic step. I am hoping someone can point me to a quick resolution so I can finish this project before Christmas and then I promise I will be returning to the tutorials. I am going to attempt to attach a jpeg to this post and I hope someone can tell me why my toolpaths are scribing lines through my text which appears to be a Vectoring of sorts?

Check your clearance heights to make sure you're not topping out on the Z movement and losing steps plus make sure your z-zero setting method is accurate if you're using low clearance heights as well.

Thank you for your timely response Adrian. You have given me a good lead to follow, I've just run out of time to see what impact my adjustments have made. I hope I can get this resolved tomorrow morning. :D :D
