From the pictures its hard to know the scale, but seeing how the grain on the drawer fronts match the body, I am guessing its a bandsaw box. Very creatively cut. I might give something like that a try. Very creative. Sort of Art Nouveau.




One could make something similar by stacking and cutting layers, but the final finish would need to be opaque to mask the layers.

Thanks! I was inspired by the Allegory of the Cave by Plato. The bookshelf resembles the cave walls and entrance.
