Hi Michael,

That’s a great video, but not what Gerry was referring to.

The demo at the UG was how to import a full 3D model and convert it to a decent (squished) relief model (Ed used a full 3D model of a Mars Rover).

The technique shows how the Emboss tool is used, along with the application of perspective and a duplicate of the model as a “base” overlaid with a detailed version, etc.

I think there was a video on that some time ago past, but I couldn’t locate it. It might have been on a previous UG memory stick.

Thanks Michael for the clarification.
I wasn't completely sure if I had the correct topic.
Here's an old video that I found showing the "Embossing" tool.
It starts around the 27 minute mark.

Thanks Michael.... :D That's exactly what I was looking for. It explains the basic embossing technique to flatten a 3D model to relief. I don't know how you found that.
