Having some issues with the nesting feature - I copied a vector from one layer to another. Activated the new layer, set to copy the vector 84 times and when I run the nesting preview, the nested version ends up on the original layer from which I copied the vector.
As I mentioned, I activated the "nesting layer" and it's still copying to another layer. I've seen this before but managed to get a workaround somehow but can't remember what I did.
Anyone see this before?

Re: Nesting Issues
Are you 100% certain you set the new layer to be the active layer (bold in the layer list) when the nesting process was run? I've only ever seen something like that happen when the "wrong" layer was the active one.

Re: Nesting Issues
Could it be a grouping problem?
VCarve has an irritating habit of not preserving the layer status of individual vectors when grouped together but insists on temporarily moving them to the active layer until ungrouped. This makes recalculating toolpaths with such entities throw up all sorts of unnecessary errors.
