I'm having an issue with dimensions.
when i click the edge of the material, the cursor snaps off location and giving me bad results.
I have tried different snap settings, but nothing works.
I'm trying to get a dimension from the edge of the material to a reference line.
But it just will not do it.

Re: SNAPPING ISSUE
Hello Jan,
I'm not a big guideline or measuring tool user but:
For the 1st picture if you are trying to measure from the left edge of the material to the guide that goes through the "A" you can right-click on that guide and a summary box will show that distance.
As far as the sloped guide in the bottom picture how about dragging a new horizontal guide to the bottom edge of the material. That way you can measure from the bottom-left corner of the material to the intersection of the two guidelines.

Re: SNAPPING ISSUE
Thank you for the reply.
maybe i'm not being clear.
the first picture is kind of a "zoom out" of what im trying to do.
in the second picture im trying to pick up the corner of the material, but it simply snaps to the left (in this case) and giving me a false read.
im not trying to measure an angle as the picture may suggest.
It snaps to a spot to the left of the corner.
Edit.
i just re-read my post.
it snaps to the RIGHT of where i want it.

Re: SNAPPING ISSUE
Obviously, the mesure tool only snaps on geometry.
If necessary, add a construction layer you can switch on and off and trace a rectangle delimiting the material on it.
The tool will snap at its corners.
