Preview wood types

Post by Mikehell »

Some of the wood textures have vertical grain. So I decided to make both horizontal and vertical versions of each.

While I was at it, I downloaded a whole bunch of other wood types and added those in as well (both horizontal and vertical)

Once I finish this and clean it up would anyone like a copy?

Most definitely! One of VCarve Pro's annoyances is that grain runs along Y in preview, and pretty much everything I do is designed with grain running along X. Makes me nuts! Thank you.

You bet! I did some of that my self but even though the new name, "dark cherry vertical" for instance, shows up on the menu, the image refused to rotate. :?:

It's really not rocket science. The pics are in "C:\ProgramData\Vectric\Aspire\V9.5\BitmapTextures\1_Wood". Just use any good paint program, I used Corel Paint, rotate the image 90 degrees and save as a different name. I just added a "VG" for vertical grain and "HG" for horizontal grain to the end of the filename. If you want to keep the custom changes separate, put them in the folder "C:\Users\Public\Documents\Vectric Files\Material Images" and they will appear at the top of the list in Aspire/V-Carve.
