Vectors

Post by maineshops »

Been away from the machine for awhile. Trying to carve the dished maple leaf in vcarve clip art. I keep getting the NO VECTORS error. Searched for a solution but no go. I know it is just a dumb spot but I can’t find it. Thanks Dan

Did you create a vector boundary around the model (and select it)?

Sounds like you have your Machine Limit Boundary set to "Selected Vector" in the Finish and/or Roughing Toolpaths menu. If so, you need to have a vector boundary selected. Otherwise, you can change the setting to use the Model Boundary as an alternative.

Hey Dan,
It's 3D so you have to use the roughing and finish toolpaths.
Make sure the 3D layer is visible and selected.
Hope you and Ma are well:)

Scott....been laid up for 6months with a couple of bulged discs see the neurosurgeon on Monday. Ma is doing pretty good though. She is working on the maple leaf as we speak.
We’re missing something simple. Dan

I believe I stated the solution for you. Have you had a chance to check and make corrections to your file yet?

Excellent, Dan! Good job getting the file to work for you!

I think the closest thing to a cookbook is the Owner’s Manual. Great for looking up specific features (such as Roughing and Finish Toolpath settings, for example).

That, along with the Video Tutorials, this Forum and Vectric Support staff, one can always get help when needed.

Perhaps you can post the file here, or if too large, upload the file to your DropBox folder and post the link. Then we can tell you precisely what to do by using your actual file that you might be able to relate to easier.
