newbe questions

Post by lavon »

how to slow mouse sensitivity in vcarve pro. Is at slowest in imac computer preferences

in drawing/distort object, i have two straight lines with text between. choosing 'between two curves' i get ok on bottom line but 'top edge curve invalid'. Same with curved lines.

Also, text comes out starting with it with it laying on its right side and i have to rotate. how to start with text right side up?

thanks in advance

Can't help on the mouse, don't use a imac.

On the distort you have to convert the text to curves first.

On the text orientation all fonts that start with "@" or orientated 90°

You may also have to set mouse sensitivity with Windows configuration panel.

On the Mac side, I use MagicPrefs (freeware) which allows fine tuning of the mouse.

If you are using a magic mouse, it's not the best tool for CAD-CAM. You may be more confortable with a basic (but good quality) standard USB mouse. I always have a Logitech 3 buttons + scroll wheel mouse connected to the Mac which I use from time to time.

Make sure that you select the text first and then the two lines/curves. It will work with normal text not converted to curves but the text has to be the first part of the selection.
