Help with Raised Text and Object

Hi,

I'm trying to make a vcarve with both raised text and a 3d object. I can get the text raised, or the object (a leaf) raised but not both at the same time. I would greatly appreciate any advice. Tried attaching a zipped file, but too large. Attached PDF screen captures instead.

There's a few things you have to do.

-- After you place and select your leaf, in the Modeling tab, select Create Vector Boundary Around Selected Components. This creates a vector around your leaf.

--Now when you select your border and text for the pocket, you also select this outline. Now the shape of your leaf is untouched. If you run the profile, you'll see the text and leaf shape.

--Now, when you select the 3D Rough & Finish toolpaths, select both the vector and the leaf component. Check the box that says Machine Limit Boundary/Selected Vectors. This will limit the 3D carve to your component only. I set a depth for the pocket to 0.25 inch.

I think my first question I posted to the Vectric forum was how to make raised lettering without cutting it off in the next toolpath. Cheers....
