how to rotate a drawing
how to rotate a drawing
I'm going to do a 3d 10" x 36" if I lay it out horizontal position. How do I rotate it to work it vertical?

Re: how to rotate a drawing
Get your vectors as desired
Toolpath and preview to your liking
Select all vectors
Group them
Rotate 90*
Position as needed
Ungroup
Recalculate all toolpaths

If you have set up the material block initially, then you'll also need to go back into the setup and swap the vertical and horizontal dimensions as well.
To rotate all the vectors use CTRL-A, then tap the 9 (counterclockwise) or the 0 (clockwise) key twice. To make sure the vestors align with the material block after rotating, I always draw and include a perimeter rectangle the size of the material. After rotating the vectors then one click on the center align object icon will align the vectors with the newly rotated material.

Your question has been adequately answered already, but you may find this helpful as well...JTEagle wrote:I'm going to do a 3d 10" x 36" if I lay it out horizontal position. How do I rotate it to work it vertical?
I showed how to rotate a job, etc. in the Face Plant free project of the month video from 2:32 to 5:32 timeline. It's very easy and quick to do.

4D....
You can rotate the material if you wish, but you don't have to. Other than the desktop version, you can cut as far as you want outside the material block

I know, but when the toolpaths are off the material block they don't render to verify the results. Thus my above suggestion.IslaWW wrote:4D....
