How do I add new materials ?
Can't seem to find this documented anywhere. How do I add materials to the preview? I want to add a few different color plastics.

Re: How do I add new materials ?
You can add preview materials to the Public Documents\Vectric Files\Material Images folder and then you won't need to re-install them after each upgrade as you do with the older method using the Application Data folder.

Except in the manual…Mikehell wrote:Can't seem to find this documented anywhere.
Search for "Adding custom materials" in the "preview toolpath" section.

Re: How do I add new materials ?
Mike,
What I did was to search for the folder that contains the materials, opened one of the files in Photoshop and saved it as a template (so you automatically have correct file size and dpi). Then you can paste whatever material you want onto that image, flatten and save as your new material. I rotated all my woods so that I have horizontal and vertical grains, saved with an H or a V. You can take a picture of whatever you want to add to your materials and just paste it into your template file. If you don't have Photoshop, you can get Gimp as Open Source (FREE) and do the same thing.
