textured panels

Post by Heritage820 »

Hi everyone, I just purchased VCarve to make some textured panels and of course my client needs the sample yesterday. I'm really new to the carving aspect of my CNC machine. Can anyone direct me to the fastest easiest way to make these! I have watched a tutorial, but I am having trouble getting the texture to look like this. The texture should be 3/8" scoops in random order, removing 1/8" of material. I purchased a 3/8" ball nose bit to do the work.

Is there anyway you could get a magnified version of the texture? That image is difficult in seeing the type of texture it is.

The picture they sent me is a poor resolution. I attached a zoomed in picture of it. Also, I attached a pic I took of the hand routed sample they gave me, which is close to what it's supposed to be.
