Box joint gadget

Is there a box joint gadget that can be used to cut the joints with the material clamped flat on the table?

The box creator gadget is VCarve Version 9 specific. You cannot install it into previous versions of VCarve.

Sure would be nice if it was available for previous versions!

The download is only V9 specific! It will not load into previous versions. I am not certain as to why Vectric is using that message on their video.

I use VCarve 8.5 and I have tried to use their Box creator Gadget but it will NOT load into 8.5 due to the V9 specific extension that is used with their file.

I also have the VCarve Version 9 Trial and loaded it there with no problem used it familiarized myself with it but am unable to save anything created with it due to it being a TRIAL version.

Nope sorry no Box Creator Gadget listed there. Dovetail Gadget yes but no 'Box Creator'.

The video is for the Dovetail gadget. It's the same video on both the Dovetail and Box Creator gadgets. That's where the confusion lies, I think.

There are two different gadgets. One is dovetails and box joints, the other is dovetails only. The former is only available in V9 presumably because it uses LUA calls in the gadget that are only available in V9.

Here is what i have for V-carve Ver. 8.517 (box creation gadget )
if memory serves me right i think i made my own folder called box creator(under gadgets) and
manually copied the file into that folder and it showed up in vc 8.517
i uploaded the folder with all the files(zipped). hope this is of some help
Note: the the main folder has a sub-folder called screen shots this shows the location to
copy files to and also a screen shot of the gadget opened up in vc 8.517
