Hi
I have a windows 7 laptop that I am trying to associate a file type with a program (.dwg or .dxf)
so when I click on the file, Vcarvepro 9 should open.
The trouble is that I go through the whole process in windows 7 to complete the file association and even though I click on Vcarve 9 as the program, it will not allow it to take.
I should point out that I have upgraded with each new version on this laptop - would that have anything to do with it?
I'm sure something simple needs to be changed but I could use some help here.
thanks in advance,
Brian

Re: associating file with program
dwg and dxf files can't be opened directly with VCP you must import them from within VCP.

Re: associating file with program
actually they can be opened.......... in windows 10. I just did it on my newer laptop today so I'm wondering why they will not open in windows 7.
