Circles are coming out wrong
We are having difficulties producing good 3" circle using VC and M$. Please see the images. The bad one is VC/M4. The good one is Heeks CAD and Linux.

Re: Circles are coming out wrong
Like Martin said in your other post about this issue.
There is possibly a setting in Mach4.
Other than that it is still a machine issue.
As was said before - if you post the G-Code from the 2 systems we can compare to see if there are any significant differences.
It may not seem like it - but we DO want to help you.

Since you are having basically the same problem with 2 different design softwares and 2 different control softwares, the problem falls back to the machine...just looking at the images, I would suspect a backlash issue...just my opinion.

He's not. One combination works and one doesn't. VCarve isn't the issue (assuming the correct post processor is being used) so it must the configuration/settings in Mach4.rig gap wrote:Since you are having basically the same problem with 2 different design softwares and 2 different control softwares, the problem falls back to the machine...just looking at the images, I would suspect a backlash issue...just my opinion.

Re: Circles are coming out wrong
Its a simple process of elimination. Try VCP & Linux if you need more proof its the mach settings

Re: Circles are coming out wrong
If it's only doing it when plunging, and at the tabs, it's most likely a sloppy Z axis.
I can't imagine any possible settings in Mach (or any control) that could cause that.
