Re: need some help please
you cant v care overlapping vectors and such. You can profile on the line with a v bit set to a depth of say .1

Re: need some help please
#1 sorry for posting when I'm half shitfaced.
I consider myself very much still a noob when it comes to CAD.
I very much appreciate everyone's help, but I feel like I'm asking dumb ass questions.
Bob,
How can you tell the over laps and intersections?
I need to get an understanding of what I'm doing wrong.
Stan,
I have desktop and cannot open up a crv3d file.
Can you save it as something I can open in desktop?
Signcut329
there are sill hugh holes by the tires
Thanks for your help.

Re: need some help please
On the pc I sent all the little boxes and stars are where there are problems. I seen some when I looked at the original pic and aspire has the ability by hitting a button showing you all the problems you have. V carve needs to have parallel lines in order for the v bit to travel and the width of the lines determine the depth. If lines cross it doesn't know which way to go, so it now becomes a problem. If you use the profile toolpath, selecting the 'on' profile and set a small depth, it will cut on the line and doesn't care if they are intersecting or not.

Re: need some help please
Bo,,
From day one, I have struggled with open vectors and how to close them.
Are there tutorials on how to identify and close them?
Or would it benefit me to upgrade from desktop?
Thanks for your help.

I don't have the desk top version so my answer my not apply..
Do you have the drop down screen as shown in the picture.
If so, simply click on "Select All Open Vectors".
They would become pink dotted lines.
At that point I move then to a new layer to make the needed corrections.

Re: need some help please
Once you have isolated the open vector on a new layer you can use the join vector tool on the drawing tab..
Each has their own value...

Michael,
thanks for the great help.
it seems to be working for me, but I haven't cut anything yet.
