Be careful downloading & installing fonts from free websites if that is your plan, many of the free fonts you can download are very badly created for any type of work that involves working with vectors, often the letters contain stray nodes, loops & crossovers which aren't a problem when printing or viewing onscreen in a text document. These will however give you problems when it comes to any kind of CNC work.
I work as a signmaker so have bought various fonts & font collections over the years because you have the same problems when cutting using a vinyl plotter.

The other option you have is to buy fonts from places like Letterheads, the price may be higher than some commercially available fonts but they are optimised to work with vector software, it is something different from what everyone else is offering & it also makes it more difficult for people to copy your work

Ditto on letterheadfonts.com

Probably the best typeface maker on the scene today.

Lots of fonts on free font sites are OK & will machine without problem, but with the fonts not being optimised for vector artwork there is always a chance there will be problems, having said that if you do have a problem font it is easy enough to uninstall & with so many fonts available find something almost if not exactly the same that works OK

I work as a signmaker where most of what I do is cut vinyl or digital print, one reason why I like to have some fonts that I have bought is it makes it harder for others to copy my work & then offer the customer a cheaper price
