moulding toolpath help

Postby Bob Moore » Sat Jul 14, 2018 5:44 pm

I am trying to make a convex arc with the moulding toolpath with a .625 core box cutter. Can't seem to get it the way I want it. Not going deep enough and the end of the arc is a higher z value than the start of the arc.

Try adding a boundary offset of half the bit diameter. Should allow the bit to travel further out and lower down to get the full curve machined.

Not only so we can revel in your success but if you can't provide photographic evidence it didn't happen

On a serious note a picture would be a good way to show others just how well Scotts advice helped solve the problem, will help others with the same problem
