I'm using the molding toolpath to make picture frames. When I start the rough out/clearing part, the 1st thing the toolpath does is cut a polygon across the center waste block. As this spoils this piece for further use can someone shed any light on WHY this is done? I can see no benefit to the end product. I've been avoiding the issue by cutting the inside profile first, stopping the run and removing the inside block before starting the clearing pass but the toolpath still wastes a lot of time cutting air across the now missing piece.
Thanks,
Mike

Re: Issue in clearing pass of molding toolpath
Sounds like there's something up with your z clearance settings. The moves across the centre should be rapid moves done at clearance height. Check your clearances on the material setup on the toolpath tab.
