Nesting problem

Post by Rene9999 »

After nesting the rectangles I have a problem with the profile cut. Even if I have the same tools diameteter in the settings and toolpaths, the final result is faulty. If I make changes to the nesting clearance settings it gives me double cuts, what I want to avoid.

You've got the gap exactly the same size as the bit you're using. That won't always work due to the internal tolerances in the toolpath calculations. If you set the clearance on the nest to 0.01mm then it will generate the full toolpath.

If you want to cut parts next to each other using a single cut you would need to use single line vectors and cut on the line. If you've got two closed vectors the toolpath will always run "twice" on the common edge.
