Chess Pieces

Post by Phil »

I subscribe to WoodEzine, a free monthly online publication. An article in this months' issue has a feature from Next Wave Automation that includes plans, instructions and a V-Carve cut file for the Seahorse Knight. Last month the project was for a Piranha Pawn. http://shop.nextwaveautomation.com/shop ... -board/45/. It appears that a new piece will be featured each month for a complete set.

I am waiting for the all the files.
Next Wave Automation is releasing 1 piece per month for a 10 Anniversary commemorative Chess Set.

Rough cost of the wood for me would be about $400, before carving, but I can't see cutting a pawn out of a 8" length of walnut (I can get 2 for that amount).
