Candlestone Source

Post by wmgeorge »

So the only source for the Candlestone material that I can find is eBay and the vender seems to be "out of the office". There is not another source and I have googled nothing found. I finally ordered some 1/4 inch 6mm white Corian to try.

Thank you, Got it ordered, funny same company that was on eBay. So why do they leave the eBay ad up if they are not selling?

Good morning. I have never used candlestone. The website makes it look interesting. Would a regular v-bit be used or is a special bit required?
Thank you
Barry

Well having never done one yet, can not say for sure. But I plan on using a .125 or 3mm ball end mill or smaller if I can find. But the v bit would also be an option. I have Candlestone and Corian thin stuff ordered.

The owner of Candlestone Gifts, claimed the material cuts much nicer than other solid surfaces. I've cut every brand of solid surface, and there's not a significant difference. They all cut and engrave about the same, none better than others, or worse either.
Just my experience. YMMV.
