Joining straight line vectors
Greetings: I am trying to make a snow measuring stick. The stick is 48" tall and 2.5" wide. I want to cut a groove across the stick at 1" intervals, to represent the inch marks. I can't seem to create a tool path to do this because the lines need to be connected as a closed vector. I am using V-carve pro. I am new at this so please forgive me. I appreciate your help as always. Thank you...

Re: Joining straight line vectors
Use the profile toolpath on single lines. Profile ON your lines. If you are using a V bit, you can calculate the depth needed for the width desired, draw it up within VCarve, or machine varying depth samples in a piece of scrap until you get the look you wish.
Or you can draw thin rectangles (say 3/32 x 2") and use the VCarve toolpath.
If you want the marks to go all the way across the stick, make the vectors longer than the stick is wide so the cut starts and ends off of the stick.
