Picture to Vcarve

Postby SB61 » Sun Jan 07, 2018 10:46 pm

My wife wants me do this border with our Monogram.
Can anyone tell me how to trace this shape to a 20x20 frame.

Thanks
Sam

Here's a couple video tutorials to get you started:

(BTW, I probably wouldn't bother with tracing myself. The border is a simple shape to draw from scratch.)

What Michael said.... :D

Took 1/8th of the design then using the mirror tool created the other 7 pieces and joined open vectors.

Import your picture into your work area and expand it to the size you want.

Set it off to the side and use the Measure Tool to measure the individual parts of your frame such as rail thickness and arc radius, etc. and just draft you a frame.

This is a drawing exercise, not a bitmap tracing exercise. All the tools you need are in the Drawing Panel and tutorials in the product support part of the Vectric Website.

The finished product does not have to be exact to the bitmap, just be square and look good to you.

You can do this, and it will be fun :D :D :D ...joe

Oops, Looks like I am behind, as usual.......
