Z depth problem

Post by reyesarm »

Hello!

I am new at using vCarve Pro and I’ve been having a problem with the cutting depth.

In the program I specify the cut depth to be X, but the machine (Laguna Swift 4x4) cuts double that depth.

Attached are photos of the parameters used.

So you're saying that rather than cutting 0.3" the pocket is cutting 0.6"?

Assuming you're using the correct post processor have you checked that the machine is calibrated properly? If you tell the Z to move 1" using your control software does it do so?

what depth does the toolpath preview show for the pocket, if it is 0.3" as you have entered then you need to be looking elsewhere for the problem, as Adrian has said are you using the correct post processor for your machine & machine set up. If you are then next place to look is at your machines calibration
