Hi,
I have a project, using Vcarve Desktop, that I'd like to tile uniquely. The project is 16" wide and 24" long. My machine cuts only 12" wide. I'd like to tile the left piece at 2", the middle 12" and the right side 2". Any way to setup or "trick" the toolpath to do this?
I was thinking about setting up 12" tiling and adjust my X for the side cuts. i.e. put the left side wood to the left on the bed and put the right side wood to the right on the bed.
Thanks for your help.
Craig

Re: Unique Tiling
I would make two projects.
The first with all 2" sections, but only cut the first and last section.
The next project would be to cut the center 6 sections ( 2" each ) from the same solid material.
You'll just need to align the X0Y0 correctly.

Re: Unique Tiling
Here's an update....
In Vcarve, I made the work piece 36" by 24", put the 16" artwork in the center and then did 12" tiling.
This broke it into 3 tiles. The 1st with the 2" part of the art work in the right of the tile, the center with the middle 12" piece and the 3rd with the 2" piece in the left of the tile.
Seems to be a workable solution in theory and simulation.
Thanks Michael for your reply.
