Trying to do profile jobs with 1/4 inch bit for slots for a challenge coin holder...
If I do all of the slots in one tool path the first one works fine, but when it moves to the next job, it doesn't go high enough before moving sideways to the next spot. This causes a small carve out in the wood where it shouldn't have one.
If I do them all separate it works great, but its so slow.
Thoughts?

Re: Fluting or profile issues
How is this possible? Is it a symptom of backlash?

Re: Fluting or profile issues
I am not certain why it was happening, but I raised the rapid Z gap and it worked like a champ. I put it at 1" which may be over kill, but it is still faster than doing them separate
