TILING TOOLPATHS

Post by redandbon »

The attached file was downloaded from this month's Vectric newsletter. It's too large for my small Piranha FX machine, so I've been trying to tile it into two separate files/toolpaths without success. Using VC Desktop 9.0. Any suggestions?

Break it up into 2 files. Each major piece is only 9"x12".

1. Load Holiday_Snowman_Dish.crv
2. Delete all vectors in the TOP HALF of the CRV file. Delete all the unused toolpaths.
3. Resize the Job Size to now fit the lower single snow man.
4. **** SAVE TO A NEW CRV FILE. Example: Snowman_Part_A.crv
5. **** QUIT CRV EDIT. DO NOT SAVE

6. Again load Holiday_Snowman_Dish.crv
2. Delete all vectors in the BOTTOM HALF of the CRV file. Delete all the unused toolpaths.
3. Resize the Job Size to now fit the upper single snow man.
4. **** SAVE TO A NEW CRV FILE. Example: Snowman_Part_B.crv
5. **** QUIT CRV EDIT. DO NOT SAVE

I know this post is getting old, but wanted to know if you were successful with the instructions given? Did you watch the tutorial video on tiling?
