Saving tool paths in Vcarve Desktop v9

I have a small CNC (12x24) with Vcarve desktop 9. Can I save tool paths (not projects) to use on older version of Vcarve v8.0 and a larger CNC. I have access to the larger machine at the local college. When I try to load a project, on the larger machine, I get a message that the project was created on a newer version of Vcarve. I haven't tried to just run tool paths. Will v9.0 tool paths ONLY work for the larger machine with v8.0? Assuming proper G code.

The toolpaths you save will run on the machine regardless of version but, as you've found, you can't load VCarve projects into older versions of VCarve.

Just remember when you save the toolpaths you will need to use the post processor for the larger machines control software
